Per-seat pricing on a shared inbox is a strange thing when you think about it. The inbox is one object. Charging by how many people can look at it means the price goes up as the team gets better at covering for each other.
So: flat software fee, unlimited users, and you plug in your own carrier and pay wholesale for the actual usage. The number stays yours, which is the part that matters at renewal time, because a number you do not own is leverage someone else holds.

What does bring your own carrier mean in practice?
You hold the account with a telecoms provider and pay them directly for minutes and messages at their rates. The software is the interface. It is more setup than a bundled service and it is why the usage cost drops.
Can I keep my existing number?
Porting a number is a standard process and the intention is to support it. It is also the single most annoying part of switching phone systems, so it is worth planning rather than assuming.
Is this really a desktop app?
Desktop first, because that is where a shared inbox actually gets worked. A phone system without a mobile app is obviously incomplete and that is on the list.
